Who We Are
We are the team behind Mad Dog Casting, scroll over our photo to learn more about us.
Kate studied jewellery and trained as a silver smith before finding the excitement of working in the film industry too much to resist.
She has worked as an assistant director on films such as Die Another Day and Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone before finding a passion for casting. Kate has been working for Mad Dog as a project manager since 2002.
After three years in the London office, she felt the allure of the countryside and the beautiful city of Bath so set-up a regional office to cover filming in the South West of England.
The office has gone from strength to strength and is now celebrating its third year. Whilst managing the Bath office Kate has cast background artists for films such as Persuasion, Stardust, Lark Rise to Candleford and The Duchess to name but a few.
Tyler is from the sunny South-coast town of Bognor Regis but upped sticks and moved to London in 2002. He has always had a burning ambition to work in the Television and Film Industry and, on the way to achieving this goal, has appeared as a television presenter and worked for a major post-production house.
As a fully-fledged member of the Mad Dog team, Tyler’s charisma, ambition and larger than life personality make him a pleasure to work with.
He has recently managed projects such as Tim Burton’s Sweeny Todd, the sixties influenced Hippie Hippie Shake and the new Bond film Quantum of Solace.
When not injecting his energy into casting, Tyler promotes live music nights, enjoys football and likes to socialise over a Guinness!
Sarah moved to London from New Zealand last year and started working for Mad Dog as a part-time casting assistant. But Mad Dog wanted to keep her on full-time because she was so good. So at the beginning of 2008 she started to manage the accounting side of the company.
Sarah comes from a real estate background but has quickly learnt that she would rather work with people than buildings. Although the move to Mad Dog was quite a career change, Sarah now relishes her new role.
Her friendly nature and outgoing personality means she fits right in at the company. In her spare time Sarah can be found exploring London’s historic attractions or enjoying a wine with friends. She also really wants to adopt a pug so if anyone knows a breeder….
After getting a theatre studies degree in 1996 from a Canadian university, Ilenka moved to London where she stumbled into casting after appearing as an MI5 agent in Tomorrow Never Dies.
Her first business was a pet sitting service that she set up at the age of 12 to provide her the funds to fly to Florida for a holiday. But after working as a casting-assistant, Ilenka combined her love of business and performance by co-founding Mad Dog in 1999 where she now spends her time running and expanding the agency and working as a casting director.
Ilenka is due to work as the sole-casting director for a full length feature film and debut as a judge on a television show.
She has two real mad dogs, Coco and Barley, who go everywhere with her. She also loves cooking, eating out, traveling, her family and friends, John, Scotland, the Everyman Theatre and Hampstead Heath.
Faye is from Hampshire but was educated at a co-ed boarding school in Dorset. Unlike most of her peers, she hasn’t chosen a financial career in the city but has followed her love of the arts and business. She finds casting a great way to combine the two.
Faye started working part-time for Mad Dog when studying for her first-class honours degree in broadcasting and new media. As a student Faye had the opportunity to work on the preliminary plans for a new acting division. She joined the team full-time as soon as she left university and she now runs Fetch.
She is full of energy and when not working she can be found dining with friends in the West End or running in the parks of South-West London. Her hobbies include skiing, sailing or anything that involves being in the sun (when it’s out)!
Brett hails from Aotearoa, the country more commonly known as New Zealand or the Land of the Long White Cloud! He worked for a production & post-production media company in Auckland before moving to London.
He loves film, photography, travel, the beach, whiskey and all things Japanese but he hates chewing gum.
If he were a dog he would be a mischievous little Border Terrier: cute, shaggy, bouncy and everyone’s best friend. But if Brett were left alone too long he would poo in your shoe.
With five years experience at a leading blue chip organisation, Robert brings a wealth of project management and IT expertise to Mad Dog. He is an economics and computing graduate from the University of Western Ontario where he also pursued his love of acting.
Since joining Mad Dog in the autumn of 2002, Robert has managed the office as well as becoming a valued member of the casting team. His credits include Derailed, I Could Never Be Your Woman, Run, Fat Boy, Run, 28 Weeks Later, The Oxford Murders, How To Lose Friends and Alienate People, Last Chance Harvey, Me & Orson Welles, Brideshead Revisted and The Duchess.
He likes to partake religiously in afternoon tea at 1600.
